Read Steve Pavlina's blog called "How to Earn Your First Love Dollar." It was the first blog of his that I read, and is one that made a lasting impression. Today I find myself thinking about how I could earn a dollar. I know that if I find something I can earn one dollar for, I can eventually turn that into more dollars. My mind is drawing blanks for ways I can do this. Any ideas?

Alrighty. After your referral, I read said blog post as well, and I'd like to start the "Love Dollar Challenge", just for the fun of trying it out. My idea was that if you don't know what you'd like to do, just take what's coming to you, and see how much fun you have doing each thing. So, here goes: I offer my services for the grand amount of $1/1€. You pick a task that would be worth that much to you and give it to me, and if you are satisfied with my work, you send me that amount (or any higher amount you consider justified, to my paypal account that I'll give you the details to through PM). Since I know people and I know the internet, I'd like to impose some minimum of guidelies: 1. I reserve to reject any specific task, even though this seems to go against the spirit of the blog entry. This is for all the jokers and pranksters who think to abuse instead of honestly appreciate. 2. I reserve to pick the assignments that most speak to me or seem to be given in an honest, open spirit and mind. 3. I'm not calling you "Captain Hunt". So, if you want some English-German translations, a bit of counseling/somebody who listens to you, need some quick research because you can't seem to find a specific thing on the internet, or whatever comes to mind, just fire away. I'm curious about what'll happen! Cheers, Eddy |

Gladly! And thank you! What should it be about? What mood should it be in? Most of my regular pieces tend to drift into the melancholic. Cheers, Eddy P.S.: The thanks about bringing this to your attention belongs to amj though. I'd never have read that blog entry without him bringing it up. Or maybe I would have, but only after digging into Steve's blog entries, which I haven't much done yet. I just thought this might be a fun thing to do to get something rolling and have a laugh together with all of you (and maybe even truly experience something amazing). Alright, since you didn't express some particular wish, I'll just roll along and be creative and improvise one on the spot: Keep steady Let the candle never flicker Keep steady On the path to honesty Keep steady Though the mud seems to get thicker Keep steady on the path that leads to me Tread firmly into your tomorrow Tread firmly into that new day Tread firmly Leave behind all sorrow Tread firmly and you'll find the way Speak softly with your inner voices Speak softly let your spirit shine Speak softly and stick to your choices Speak softly that your life is fine Look forward to a new beginning Look forward live your life with force Look forward see the light that's spinning Look forward and return to source |
