Rich & Famous vs Rich & Anonymous?

About 18 months ago I found a trader who's results were the best I'd ever seen. In fact his results made me completely change my paradigms around wealth and what was possible.

prior to that I had my own business and a sideline business online. The thing with most online businesses though (for me) is that they often require you to go out and become an expert in your field, and tout your name across the world as the go to person on a particular subject.

My problem with this is that I have Zero interest in being famous. Essentially I aspire to rich and completely anonymous.

This always seemed to stand in the way of really making a go at the internet thing.

Now that I am trading with my trading gurus system rich and anonymous is a reality. This seems to be the results that attracts many people to trading.

with so much information and people aspiring to being famous and getting their name and face known to the world - I wonder how many others have the rich and anonymous preference and why?

Being well-known could be useful, but I probably wouldn't want to be a famous celebrity. I have no desire for hundreds of camera in my face whenever I step out in public.

I don't think that affilate marketing necessarily means that you need to become a well known expert.

I don't think you will become very famous by having a blog anyway. Like Steve Pavlina or Yaro Starak. They are very well known in the blogosphere, but hardly anyone would know them on the street.

It looks for us that if the person has a well-known blog everyone would know them. This is not true though.

The concept of being famous never attracted me. I'd hate to be recognized everywhere (lack of privacy), having to talk to total strangers (I like talking to strangers, but not because I would be famous), always paparazzi waiting with camera's, always having to be 'on guard'. People claiming my time, my energy etc because I am famous, not because of me. More difficult to find real friends, not groupies.

The only plus would be the attention I guess. I'm not addicted to attention, I have other vices .

Being rich I wouldn't mind though.

I would rather be anonymous, if I were rich.

If I were really really rich I would spend half my money helping others anonymously and spend the other half protecting my ability to remain anonymous.

If I were ever to have fame come that I couldn't avoid, due to abilities or whatnot..I would appear as the unknown comic does...with a bag over my head.

I would want to be just famous enough that hotels and other nice place know who I am and give me the 5* treadment, but not so famous that you cannot walk normally on the street.

Also... if I would live in Mexico I would not want to be famous at all (kidnapping risks etc).

It could depend what you are famous for. I think that it would be OK if I became famous for wiping out cancer. I think that there is a big difference for being famous like Albert Einstein or being famous like Paris Hilton.

I agree with you on that. Fame is hype on the net, it's easy and brainless to shout everywhere that you're an expert and many will believe that.
But no, that's not what real experts do. The best are always quiet and they prove their supremacy by results.

I have no desire to be famous and even take some extra steps to keep my anonymity.

I wouldn't mind wealthy, but I reject famous.

But you can be well-respected in your field and not be a household name.

Very few people are actually, literally famous. Maybe in small, tight circles.

Don't fret. Just go for your dreams.
