OK, I've read hundreds of articles about work from home and earning money, no experience required, no skills required, all you need is a computer and an internet connection. IS THERE REALLY SUCH THING? I mean, I tried Nick Mark's multiple stream of income. That, and so many others, tell you how to get money, but you need to either make your own ebook (which needs skills and knowledge of what to write), affiliate (need website to put your ad on, domain name to hide your affiliate link, etc). Surveys that supposed to pay you 5-75 bucks each (yeah right) they come once in 3 months worth $1.20. Does anyone here actually do something online that can generate cash (doesnt have to be mega bucks, but not wasting time like clicking ad for 1cent a click), that seriously doesnt require capital to start with and doesnt need a skill (like blogging or write ebook) and doesnt need to make our own item to sell. To be short, is there anything that really only requires a computer and an internet connection? Thanks heaps for your help. |

so you're asking if someone can get money without putting out any value? Its not likely to happen. Computer and internet connection are just tools. On their own they have no value, but you create something with those tools that give value to others and you're on the right track. If you're looking for someone to hand out free money or give you something for nothing you'll end up empty handed here and elsewhere. This forum supports finding your passion, purpose in life and giving value to others. |

There is mturk, where people assign menial tasks to random people. You can make like 5 bucks an hour if you work your butt off. The best thing I did was write a 1,000 word review of my college for 6 bucks. The rest is basically data entry, image recognition, some audio transcription, etc. There are some rather meanial tasks on elance (or guru or getacoder) as well, but in my experience those tasks are pretty hard to win against other bidders (actually, I have onjly applied for higher paying stuff but I suspect the competition is stiff across the board). |

No, I dont mean free money without giving any value. What I mean is, is there a genuine work from home that ordinary at home mothers can do, those without special skills like writing a book. Like data entry for example, or fill in surveys, most people can do it. Those are values, but I know most of them dont pay much at all.

Think of all the knowledge you've amassed as a mother and homemaker that you had to learn the hard way. How do you balance it all? How do you find meaning amongst the madness? What makes you such a damn good mother? There are people with less experience than you. There are people who face challenges you've already overcome. To those people, what you know is valuable. Think of some aspect of your present situation that used to drive you nuts. Something that caused you no end of difficulty. Some issue with your kids would be great. How did you overcome it? Try to find something that caused you major grief until you figured out the solution. Write a twelve page report on that solution. That's enough. No fluff or filler. Just a simple "This is how I totally solved a problem that used to drive me nuts - and how you can solve it too." Then you get a domain, write a sales page, set up a ClickBank account. Mothers in similar situations will be searching for solutions to their problem and find your site. You can solve their problems, so they will gladly pay you. Honestly, this is not so hard. I bet you could find a topic for an ebook in about one hour of serious thought and one hour of research on google. You could probably write it, set up your page and shopping cart in a day. There are free resources online that can teach you how to do the technical bits. (I'd help you, but I'm busy preparing my own product launch, and I'd have to charge yo money - it looks as if you're trying to do it for "free"). Really, you absolutely do have skills and knowledge that others will pay you to find out. Give it to them.

Money is just a currency for VALUE. You don't want money for the paper itself, you want the VALUE you can buy with it. In the same way, to earn money you need to CREATE VALUE. The only other way to do it is by taking value with nothing in return. And we call that stealing. I'm sure there are ways to create value without skills, but it's going to be the most time consuming and boring work imaginable (the only reason someone would pay you instead of doing it themselves). The other thing to consider is there are a lot of people in your shoes looking for something like this: this brings the cost of paying someone to do it down, down, down because there is such a large supply of unskilled workers. I have been working from home for 18 months now; - the first 6 months I spent freelance writing for other people, earning $2000/month at my peak, but then the work fell away so... - the next 12 months I spent creating my own websites, and now I earn $1500/month in passive income... If I'd continued freelancing, I would be working 30 hours a week for that $2k. As it stands, I can now leave the country for a month (which I will be doing in July) and still earn $1.5k (and that figure is growing each month) The beauty of passive income!! You can see my websites in my signature, and I learned everything about building / writing / marketing them through Site Build It. Steve is a big advocate of SBI, for obvious reasons so am I. You may have to start your Site Build It website in your spare time while you continue your full time job, but if you do it right I don't see why you wouldn't be able to quit your job and live off your SBI income within a year. Probably much sooner if you can top up your earnings with savings or a supportive partner. |

| That depends on how focused it is on solving a problem that people will pay to learn how to solve. It really only takes an hour or so to get an idea, a couple of hours with google keywords to make sure you have a market, and maybe a few days typing your ass off to write the thing. Another couple of days to set up a sales page and cart accounts. Once you put that work in, it's over. Gradually do some advertising and optimize until you start getting the returns you want. |

People that make money online do it by creating value for others. If you can learn to provide valuable information to people, you can learn to get them to pay you for it. Reading to learn how to go about things is a good idea and definitely has its place, but there will come a time when you must begin to create something for others. Without doing that, you will never be successful.

Your view of money, value and wealth is skewed. Instead of trying to weasel money from other people, find a way to offer them so much value that they would feel stupid not pay you for your product/service.

There was a bubble a couple of years ago with blogging where there were marketplaces that paid you to write about products and services and include links. Google didn't like it and eventually the bubble burst when the search engine started penalizing blogs that participated. The marketplaces are still in business, but the pay for bloggers is very low and the marketplace is crowded with ESL bloggers from Malaysia and other poor countries. The key player in this realm is IZEA. I'm not recommending it, but they are frequently retooling their business to make/keep it profitable. I made $10,000 in about a years time with them when the money was good.

But since he has no understanding of what you are talking about, he ends up with nightmares with money. He loves the idea of making money with gambling things like poker, horse racing and stocks. If you have a get rich quick scheme then he wants to know about it. He is very smart but I guess this would be more like emotional IQ. I guess you learn this from your parents mostly, but I think that you can also learn it by reading about it. There are lots of wealthy, powerful people that disagree with you. One example is Suddam Hussein. Decades ago a study was done in the U.S. on the richest Americans. Most of them disagreed with you. They followed them for decades. Twenty years later they found that most of them were broke, in jail or dead. Look what happened to the most powerful people (governors) in New York and Illinois. They have no idea what you are talking about. Last edited by ginkgo; 05-15-2009 at 10:07 AM.
