Default Majoring in Business?

Is it a good idea to major in business?

Throughout high school, I've always planned on majoring in business once I got to college, but recently I've heard from a lot of people that business is a bad major. I guess it has a reputation of being the "slacker" major, but I'm not one of those types. I want to major in business because I think its something I'm truly interested in. Any advice?

every field has it spositive and Negatives. Do what you like and you wont have to work for another day. If you find your natural flow in business than go for it.

I am doing my finals in a degree of Business and Finance at the moment. I do have to say, the majority of the course was just common sense and pretty easy. I felt that I could have taught myself the things that I have paid to learn and so feel pretty hard done by. I have a few friends who have done Math(s) related courses and they seem to be more appealing to employers (if that's the route you want to follow). But not only that, I do think that their minds were stimulated on the course they chose, whereas I wasn't.

If it's possible, I'd maybe choose to do business with something else as well (I'm not sure how the U.S. education system works).
