Does anyone know anything about making money in Forex (Foreign Exchange)? I came upon a company making robots that do your investing for you. I think I manifested these guys because the last time I was involved with investing, my emotions definitely caused me some trouble. This sounds like a great idea for avoiding those mistakes. Has anyone tried it? |

I hate to be negative on a forum like Steve Pavlina's which is generally so positive. But sometimes one has to be. Firstly, to get the positive information upfront: If you want a good way to start forex investing you could consider eToro. I've written a post about it on my Texas Holdem Investing site - "eToro on Techcrunch – Gambling Metaphors for Investing". There will be some other pointers for helping your emotions with investing in the future on my blog too. Secondly, the Mindbridge site links to this "Forex Megadroid" site. As an investment professional myself I only had to look at the claim of 96% accuracy to realise that this site and the tools it is promoting are most likely fraudulent. A strong claim I know but you must realise that the best banks and hedge funds pay software developers millions to develop software trading systems, which still blow-up (like the Goldman Sachs Global Alpha fund). One of the best paid hedge fund managers in the world - James Simons of Renaissance Technologies - earns billions a year from so-called "quant" systems - and the richest people in the world can't get into the fund. And to think that this Megadroid site is selling one for $97. Sounds like a bad dream from the Terminator to me. Most of the Google Adsense / Adwords advertisements you see for trading systems and methods promising outlandish returns will not work. Don't. Touch. It. |
