Default Moving Out of Parent's Home

I want to move out of my parent's home but currently don't have a job, nor do I want one. I want to travel and make videos and animations and not worry about the money, but I do need to eat and live.

Any suggestions?

Well unfortunately you will have to do something to at least pay for your own food, even if you choose to be homeless or live out of your car.

If travel is what you want.. I remember the story of someone I met a long time ago. His passion was to travel around the world, but he had no higher education and no big income.

He chose to be a construction worker and he would work for like 1 year, then take a complete break where he would quit his job and spend all of his savings on traveling all over the world.

When the money was gone, he would come back to the United States and find another construction job (the government always has construction going on) and work for another year then do it all over again.

Just somethin to think about...

If you can live on bare-bones food, water and shelter, then there's really no pressure to get a high paying job. Though you do need SOME source of cash (unless you choose to be homeless and really rough it).

My personal solution (because I want to travel and not have to worry about money as well) is to set up a business that provides passive income. Then, I'll be able to travel and not have to worry about getting a job to survive.

But as others suggested, there are probably a lot of ways you can get your necessities of food and shelter without having a regular "job." You can barter, that is help someone out in exchange for something else you need.

@Grandiouse yeah that's what I am doing now. I shoot and edit video and will make dvds to sell passively. But at the same time I want to move out and see things. But don't really have the money to do so. That is lame of me though.

Why not create a blog first or website and post up some animations and video work up. This will give you the opportunity to see if you can truly make a living at animation/video. If anything it will give you some experience while you figure out what your next move is going to be. Hey it may even turn successful and you can submit your work to a animator/video job and go from there. Take advantage of being at home because from there you will have to pay bills!
