Just posted a comment on your article about needing emergency fund. You've got some really cool articles in there and I think the site is rich with good info because you have knowledge on a variety of topics.

Nice looking site!

One quick suggestion though:

Your tagline is dull, dull, dull. "A Finance & Personality Development Blog" says nothing about what your site offers that nobody else does. PD and finance are both highly saturated niches, you need to have a clear angle that is apparent in your tagline. What is unique about your blog?

Default Thanks David

Your feedback was very useful. I had couple of quotes in my mind and your feedback helped me solve many related things. I have created new banner on top and also one on side bar based on new punchline. Thanks for help. I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks Taylor. Mystic Madness relates to mysterious madness in the world related to Money and Behavior. Its an attempt to make poeple relaize that a small change in personality can do wonders for them. Its was just my thought.......when i booked this domain name.

By the way your site looks blank........any reason for that. template seems good.

Hi David. You got nice site. I could check you have three figure visitors and some nice comments in your site. Can you share something about yourself related to traffic and the journey so far.
Thanks

Hi, your site looks good, thank you for the link.

I like the idea of pictures for each post, it draws my attention before actually reading the topic.

great idea to post here and request feedback on it. I think I'll try and do that when I feel my site is ready for judgement

Would you like to get RSS feeds on there too? i find i use RSS to find out when there is new content to a site, not necessarily just to read it from the RSS page

My site is actually very new. Only three weeks, but my traffic is constantly climbing and I'm getting overwhelmed with positive feedback. It's been a blast, and I'm really excited about the coming months.

I feel like I'm doing just about everything right so far, but I had a lot of help. I wanted to do it right, so I went ahead and joined a mentor program offered by expert blogger Yaro Starak. I learned what works and what not to waste time with. Really pleased with the results so far.

If you look at my site on the right hand side there is an icon that links you to an in-depth run through of the course.

It's not free but certainly worth every penny. I look around at other new blogs and they go months without the kind of traffic I'm already getting. I definitely recommend learning from an expert, even if it's not Yaro. I certainly started off on the right foot.

My best advice is to find a community of new bloggers to bounce ideas off of. I have found such a great support group already. I'm having an awesome time, I should have done this months ago.

The discussion with you is indeed very helpful. My blog is 4 week old but at same time I do realize that you think and write very deeply. You deserve the traffic

based on your advice I would have joined Yaro Starak but the program is very expensive. may be when I would have earned that much I would go ahead and do as per your guidance.

I am only in the traffic building phase, I haven't monetized yet, there would be very little return at this point Traffic and loyal readership has to come first, and that's my focus.

Adsense produces virtually nothing without very significant traffic. I doubt I will ever use Adsense; there is much more money to be made in affiliate marketing.

Yaro's program does cost some money, but I certainly intend to earn what it costs a hundreds of times over in the next few years. Full-time income is possible blogging, and I know I have the talent for it. With Yaro's course I now also have the how-to knowledge. I have very audacious goals for earning, so spending a few hundred dollars now is nothing.

You're obviously a skillful writer. I love how the blog looks -- so clean!

I find that there are so many demands for my attention on the web, it takes a lot of people saying "read this!" for me to commit to reading an unknown author's long blog post. I could transition into a regular reader if there are smaller posts that offer value and give me a taste of the author's point of view.

In other words, I can't imagine adding another blog to my regimen that has Pavlina-length posts, unless there is an awesome hook or something. But considering your potential readership is anyone in the English-speaking world, I'm sure you'll find an audience.

David. I spent time last night seeing the video of yaro from your site. The feeling I had was that it was more of skilfull marketing and less of blogging. anyhow the motive is money and he knows how to mint it. Now the niche of "making money" is so saturated that many good people have already established themselves. You find many gurus and infact the space"how to make money" attracts defined customers and maybe selling them dreams is easy. now coming to personal developemnt I dont think selling something here would be easy except some cheap ebooks like zen habits is doing.

You case- I think the readership you would have in future would be entirely different from what you may want to sell them. You cannot sell them how to make money product when your blog focus is more on developement. Good hope is a book just like what steve did.

Let me know if you think differently.

Thanks Sirkinm. I see you also have some posts up and running. Only advice I can give at this moment is to please have your own domain. I used blogspot for 2 years and now I realize important time I have lost. It costed me $44 for first year and that too I got back from my friend (I can ask her to help you too). hence essentially its free for 1st year. I am confident that I will make this much money before second year. In short go for your domain as its 2 days effort to create and run your site and then lot of opportunities to follow. Your own domian would give you an identity which is difficult in blogspot.

Thanks for the suggestion! I know a unique domain is important, but I never realized it's so important to get that ".bloggspot.com" out of there ASAP. Nice that you offer your friend's assistance (thanks!), but I actually have a free domain offer I've been meaning to use.

Best!

Great website. I read many of the articles because I found them useful to my situation. Thanks.

I have my own site (link below) up and running, but I definitely love your layout and content.

Keep up the good work.

I have a great job now, but it is uninteresting and I know I can soar if I have the right job. Maybe you can write an article about finding the correct job?

Like I said, I am not worrying about monetization yet. I have plenty of ideas of what my readers would appreciate, but my goal at the moment is to create great content and expand my traffic. I love Yaro's product so I link to it on my blog. Many of my readers are bloggers and would certainly benefit from it. There are plenty of ways to monetize, no need to rule things out at this point.

i really like the design. a little busy but solid all round.

the theme is super hot. bit too grey but countered by the images. i'd prolly make the grey a dark blue.

respect

p.s. my site's also only bout a month old and has a similar design concept - check it out and leave a comment Unleash Reality
