Default Website feedback

Hi everyone. I just posted my first article on my new website, Chinacopia.

The article is about learning Chinese and can be found here.

I'd love to hear your critique of the article, as well as the site in general. Thanks!

My suggestion:

1. Make the top banner center, or remove it. Or stretch the banner so it takes up all the space, inside of having it on the left hand corner. If you wish, you can always remove the top banner and put in "ChinaCopia" as text instead of JPG.

BTW, I'm looking forwards to your new posts

Thanks for the feedback, Ken. I'll consider changing the way the logo appears. Does anyone else have opinions on how the header banner looks at the top / how to make it better?

Okay, what do you guys think of this alternative?

For reference, here is the original again.

I like how the test header fits the full width of your page. Looks better than the original even if it doesn't have the pretty graphic.

Consistent simple header > fragmented prettier header

congrats on the new site and article too!

This looks like it could be an interesting website. You may want to check out the latest edition of the Economist Magazine. It's got an interesting article about China.

I like your beautiful clean website design. I did not have an opportunity to read the post, but the picture was nice, although the post looked a bit short.

Simona, the front page just contains a short welcome message, not a full article. The menu on the left of the page provides access to the different areas of the site which will contain articles.

Thanks for your compliment on the design!

Great job Chris! Well done, very well done.

I'm not seeing any way to subscribe to your RSS feed -- might want to get that set up, because I will be camping and waiting for your chinese language articles.
