So your solution to avoid the competitive world of selling gem stones was to enter the world of self-development? That's like trying to induce cancer to rid yourself of a cold. If you're selling your ebook to an English speaking market, no, you should not proceed. I checked out your blog and the gramatical errors are a tremendous distraction and would be enough of an obstacle to ward away potential buyers. I recommend you invest your time on mastering the fundamentals of written English before attempting to sell and ebook. Or outsource the writing of the book and sell it from a better written website. |

I have to agree with the previous poster -- it was hard enough just getting through your question (more punctuation please). However, you could always commission someone else to write it. I have impeccable grammar and writing skills -- just pm me. You can pay me in gem stones, just like in a video game

What kind of topics will your self development e-book cover? This is an enormous area so I recommend you approach it in one of two ways: 1. offer a broad introduction to personal development, referencing quality books and resources like this site, and easing people into the concept (something for beginners) 2. focus on a specific niche and cover that area in depth, pitching yourself as an expert (if this is the case) There must be hundreds of e-books on personal development and unless you are already a well known author or speaker on this subject, you won't have an audience. So try to approach it with a unique angle that separates you from all the others. As far as writing and grammar goes, I suggest you write your e-book as if you were talking to a friend. Write in short sentences and keep it simple. When you're finished, get a proofreader and editor to check your e-book and sales page. I promise it will be worth it. Then look at selling your e-book through relevant websites, blogs and online merchants like Click Bank. If you can, offer it for $7 - it's a small amount to ask people to part with, and you're likely to make up for it in sales volume. Best of luck!

Self improvement is a very broad topic. If you expect to sell any copies of it, make it more specific and focused on only one topic - that way you can target that specific market for it, and you can tell them what specific results it can get them.
