Petrolhead is on a distinguished road
Default Business Idea

Ok I've been pondering for a few months what, out of the things I love and am passionate about could I do to add value to peoples lives and make myself an income I could be proud of.

I think I have an answer, it came to me in a moment of quiet meditation. I had overlooked all my computer skillls as these tend to be thing I take for granted and use for work and pleasure at home.

My idea is to set up a site offering IT coaching on Excel, Word, Acess, AUTOCAD, Windows, Internet browsing/coding, using facebook, twitter etc and try to make some off that.

I'm also planning on offering one-to-one consultations with course materials and a programme, & maybe even writing a book or two.

I'm thinking of advertising through local councils, universities & colleges, newspapers, online networks.

Initially this will be something I'll be doing alongside my regular job, if I takes off I would be very happy to do this full time.

My goal here is not to get super rich, just to provide a good supplement to or a better replacement for my current income. I currently only have enough money to live from paycheck to paycheck and it would be nice to have some spare cash to replace the things in the house that are getting worn out and to be able to have anice family holiday.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Sounds like a very good plan!

Although I don't think universities and colleges should be your target audience, students are usually quite web savvy, so will likely have all these skills (and little money to spend on private tutoring).
I think it'd cater more to an older population. Any local community gatherings should be a good option.
Good luck
