Default Is there a way to look up how many visitors/day a site has?

I'm wondering because I've considered contacting others about guest blogging.

I know Alexa.com shows ranking but doesn't show actual traffic stats - correct me if wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Running bird

the only realistic way is to see the persons traffic stats if he has a program that
tracks every visitor, so if you know the person, you can ask him to show you

...that is it, there is no other way, that is accurate

Well one way is to ask them.

Another way that will cost you money and which is a bit of a hack and requires you to have the technical skills is to buy an Ad on the site and then stick a little graphic that go backs to your site there, then do the counting of hits on your end.

Google Analytics. Go to Google and search for it in it's tools. Then install it in your site and you will have enough of stats

For your purpose, you don't need exact traffic numbers for the website. I use compete.com and alexa.com. I would suggest looking for blogs with alexa rankings lower than 100,000.

In additon to alexa and compete there's also Google Trends for Websites: wikipedia.org
You should always keep in mind that numbers from external sources are inaccurate.

The hosting report won't help you at all with finding out how much visitors a website that you don't happen to own actually has.

Maybe you can try statbrain.com

I think it's not accurate, but it helps.

There is no perfect tool out there.

Feedburner.com also provides visitors statistics but I still maintain that no tool out there is accurate.
