A couple of years ago I researched drop shpping and never followed up with it.

Instead I started experimenting with Internet Marketing and have gained some good experience.

Anyone here involved with or had any success with drop shipping?

Is it very different from maintaining affiliate sites?

Any suggestions on how to get started in the business?

I'm not sure if we are the same wavelength, but where I come from, drop ship means I sell something to a customer, and have somebody shipped the goods directly to him without it passing me.

Thats exactly what I am talking about. I have also read about drop shippers who buy wholesale and ship the products themselves.
