My girlfriend's blog, Advice for Teachers, was set up using SBI. I was considering using SBI but when I saw how extensive the process was, I decided to use Blogger to get my blog up and running. I realize that SBI is set up for monetiziation, however, since I wanted to get started sooner rather than later, I decided to opt for the simpler, more straightforward Blogger. I have a few questions since I'd like to earn money from my blog. Can I convert a Blogger blog to SBI down the road? Will using Blogger impair my ability to monetize or get a high search engine ranking? Since I just started my blog (inthon), shall I convert it to Wordpress? |

I am by no means the biggest expert on this topic, but I would go with Wordpress. It seems to be more stable and flexible than others, and just as easy, if not easier to monetize. If you're serious about blogging for the long term, get a cheap hosting account, install Wordpress, and blog away. Good luck. |

One can host many different domains there and for moderate sized sites is adequate for most peoples needs. If you develop enough traffic to outgrow the hosting (unlikely) you can always move your site to more powerful and expensive hosting later. If you need more information send me a private message and I will answer any questions you may have. | |

Pardon my ignorance, but why would someone need hosting for a WordPress blog or website? Don't they already host your website? Do you mean your site could get too big for them to handle or is it something more business related? |

| Wordpress.com will host a blog for you. I believe the wordpress.com hosting does not allow adsense on the blogs hosted there. Having your own hosting also alows a larger selection of themes and the ability to customize themes to be more unique. The hosted solution allows much more storage and the use of your own domain which tends to brand your blog better.
