I appreciate the recommendation. My only concern in using an outside Sitesell resource is in potentially losing some of the SBI functionality. Are you still able to use all the Site Build it functions? Do you still use the Blocks in order to add text, links and graphics or do you have to do that outside of Site Build it in an HTML editor? Thanks again |

Hi Borisg This might clear up your concerns - when I went from the BlockBuilder to uploading my own HTML pages, I took the SBI template with me. And it works the other way round too. As long as your designer knows to split the page into three separate top, left and background images, you can upload these components to BlockBuilder in the Look & Feel Selector --> Create Custom Image. It takes a few seconds, then you can preview it before saving. After that, you will create your pages in the usual way, with dividers and graphics uploads in the BlockBuilder. Its only the centre text space you're editing, not the underlying logo or background images. If you are ever planning to move up to creating your own HTML pages, I recommend doing it at the same time as getting your new template. Mainly because it gives the designer more freedom, making the site more flexible, for example adding a right hand column for advertising. You also have much more creative freedom and its much quicker to upload than the BlockBuilder, which I find very clunky. You don't need to be a technical wizard, just ready to learn a little more... The SBI forums can help if you get stuck. SBI Support might have a more comprehensive explanation but that's what I've learnt from my own experience. Having your own design actually gives you way more functionality. |

PS Borisg, here's another website I made based on many SBI principles (although not actually powered by SBI). Again, my partner did the design for it in a similar format to my lucid dreaming site. Just to give you a flavour of what's possible in terms of graphics and functionality, without going crazy overboard. Improve Vision Naturally: Improve Your Vision with Daily Eye Exercises |

thanks again. I love the improve vision naturally template. So clean and easy to navigate. I will first try to go the simple route of uploading my own html template in three parts and see how that flies.... Any idea what dimensions the various 3 parts are supposed to be? Thanks |
