Default two for one on SBI... does anyone want to share?

I'm getting SBI. If anyone else is, we can make use of this two-for-one deal and split the price between us. Who's up for it?

Hmmmmm....

What are the advantages of SBI?

I'm wondering if I should take SBI or build my sites myself. Are there any advantages in using SBI (except for the technical ones)?

It looks really great. Huge amounts of time saving work done for you, and you get peer support.

I really recommend you see the video tour.

Default I'm using SBI

I'm building a site on self healing using SBI.
  • It offers many materials for study (but you can read those for free anyway, just go to actionguide.sitesell.com )
  • It offers an arsenal of research tools (Brainstorm It, Find It etc) that allow you to fully research your niche, your site concept, your keywords for all pages, and to research site legalities, the competition etc.
  • It offers a special kind of web hosting as well as many technological advantages: it automatically pings major Search Engines every time you modify a page, it submits your sitemap to various... things, etc. Steve himself said there is more to his own approach than meets the eye, but that SBI offers everything you need so you can focus on building content. Check out his review.
  • As for actually building the site, they offer that too, but I quickly dumped it and learned html and Front Page, since I couldn't settle for their simplistic design. But a simple design can be effective if the content is great.

Hey bluedragon, I'm interested in reading your site! Let us know when it's online

As for SBI, hmmm....

Well, two of the sites I want to build are really complicated and need to be interactive, so I don't think I can do that with SBI in the first place. One site is an easy site with just pages, this one would be okay. But I can do that alone. The only thing I need to learn is SEO, everything you said about pinging search engines and site maps and all that stuff. But it's possible to learn that on my own, isn't it? I need to learn it anyway, to use it for those other two sites that I cannot use SBI for. So I'm not sure SBI is a really good idea for me.

Hmmm...

You can upload your own site to site build it you don thave to use the builder... doing this you still get the advantage of all of there tools that come with it to help optimise your site.

Hey Andrew, I am seriously considering purchasing SBI and was thinking about possibly splitting the 2 for 1 deal with someone. One of the questions I had was; what happens if one of us decides it's not for us and wants to take advantage of the money back guarantee and wants a refund? I'm not sure if they will refund half the $299. I'm also not sure of how we both get our own SBI accounts etc. I guess I will have to look into these questions...if you have any answers let me know. If we can both be totally autonomous with our accounts I would definitely be interested in splitting the cost with you.

I think one of us has to buy it, then the other is "gifted" the free one and informally paypal's half the money back to person number one. So if one of us wanted the money back, I suppose the other person would pay him back his share. And if that was too much for him, he'd ask for his money back from SBI.

It's great that we found each other -- decide quickly, we have two days left

I think you have up to 9 months to activate the freebie account, so probably the best solution is for one person to get the regular account, and once s/he knows she's committed to keeping it, you could sell the freebie account to someone else to use.

I agree, it could be a very good that we found another person to share the cost with. I am/was so busy today that I haven't had time to read anything about the "gifting" of the free site etc. Are you for sure going to go through with buying SBI? Were you going to go through with it even if you couldn't find someone to split the cost with? I was seriously considering paying the full price and having two sites, but I like the cost of splitting better ...just gotta work out the logistics. We still have two days, I will try and look into it further tomorrow.

My biggest concern is I am not certain I have a good or solid enough idea to create a viable site, let alone two. I actually ordered SBI about a year ago and quickly became overwhelmed by everything, and sort of lost interest, I got my money back after about a month. I really want to have the flexibility of the money back guarantee. I always get really gung ho about things...and many times discover it wasn't exactly what I was hoping it would be.

Anyway, I will look into it more and we can discuss it further. Let me know your thoughts and concerns.

I was considering it. I know I will be making money from my site in future, so the question is really one of now or later.

It'll be a bit of a plunge to do it now, but I think I've been procrastinating too long. A bit of peer-support would do wonders for my motivation.

I'd say you probably should spend an hour digging deep and decide what sort of site you want to build before you decide to get SBI, no? I sometimes have the same problem: I jump in before I have it worked out 100%. That's not a bad thing, but it can be done better.

I think I'll do as Steve said. I'll just buy it, for now, and sell the spare account later. Hopefully to you

Sounds like a good plan Andrew...I will let you know what I decide to do, I still have until tomorrow at midnight to decide if I want to purchase the 2 for 1 deal...If I don't and I decide I want an SBI site I would definitely like to purchase your extra account.

Happy Holidays!!

Actually it turns out I don't have enough spare money in my account to buy a whole SBI, so if you want to buy one first and then sell half to me...

But no, I actually think I need to leave off the site for a while and focus on making some more liquid cash with my English classes. If I spend my last 150 now I'll have to borrow from my friends, as I seem to have burnt my bridges as far as my parents are concerned
