I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right folder, but anyway. There's a man at my work who used to work for the federal security service before. So, now he's a CEO and I know that he bugs all our offices and then reports to our directors. Previous workers noticed it and told me. Moreover, I've found some files with the records on his computer : I've been working on his computer recently because mine isn't working properly and CEO is on seak leave now. I know it's bad and, besides, he may track my actions, but I don't care. Also, I know there is this program, a remote desktop administrator, on my computer ('RAdmin', if you know it) and on his computer I saw he'd been viewing monitors, but only mine and the secretary's. I know nowadays remore desktop administrators and hidden cameras are (unfortunately) common at work, only overhearing seems to me especially disgusting and, honestly, I see no practical use in it in such a small company as ours. I guess it's just CEO's old habits and a way to entertain himself. However, that's not what I'm concerned most of all. I know this man likes me, he sometimes follows me (too bad we live on the same street), so sometimes I think what if there are bugs even at my home? I try not to take this thought seriously. I have some guesses, but it may be just coincidences. For example, we are going to move to another building and one day being at home I told my sister that I didn't know the password to my e-mail and didn't know what to do with the letters in Outlook when we move. I also told her the same day that it was a pity I wouldn't have a chance to know better one guy I liked who was working in the same building. Next day our director asked an IT specialist to make me one more e-mail box and the director's wife suddenly started speaking about the men with whom that guy was working saying that all of them were bad guys and often called prostitutes into their room and so on. However, such talks may be just coincidences. Even if there are bugs at my home, how could he do this? Putting on my coat, bag, cell phone or what? All in all, I try not let my mind take it really seriously, because if I allow this to myself, I may easily become paranoid. But sometimes I just think 'what if?'... And I know that he's capable to do such a thing as he's too dishonest and he's interested in me. What do you think? Have you had any experience in all this? That would freak me out, too. I did a quick web search and found this: Sherlock Investigations, Inc. - Bug sweep It's a "bug sweep" service and they also have a do-it-yourself ebook. I think you should hire someone to bug sweep your home or do it yourself to put your mind at rest. |

Thank you for your advice, Lauxa. I think I'll never make up my mind to hire someone to bug sweep my home as, first of all, I'll consider myself a wacko then. But probably I could really read some book on this at least.
