Thanks for posting that, Orange. I liked even more the article that follows, Ten More Quick Ways to Make Money. It speaks to my personal values and the things I think inside my head all the time about the purposelessness and corporate dependence in our culture. I wish I was as eloquent.

I'm not good enough yet to whip out my pennywhistle on the street but it has been my plan for a while as a future way to make money if I become a bag lady.

I've been thinking about making my own bird toys to sell at a local pet store that employs me as a mindless retail worker. This just gives me another kick to go out and do it. I can make bird toys while I watch TV instead of surfing the interwebs mindlessly.

The more things I can do to make a few dollars here and there the freer I feel from corporate nannydom. Thanks again, Orange.

Quick REAL opportunities to make money appear only when you are already making money from some sort of regular business.

Otherwise you'll fall for get-rich quick schemes that simply don't work, because you lack the understanding on how the money are made.

What is the joke you are referring to- the website or my question?

It seems to me there is no free access to this info, the website tells me I have to sign up for something. Some are called free offers, but there are shipping and handling costs to pay. If anyone in the forum is giving the system a go, share your results.

I was talking about the article, & I lol'd about the idea of selling blood/semen/bone marrow for $$$. There's other ways to provide value without extracting it from your veins, damn.

Yes, I found that pretty funny too. I remember people in undergrad speaking about doing that- selling blood/semen/bone marrow for $$$. I thought they were crazy.

I used to sell plasma twice a week. $70 a week, $300 a month.

Why not exactly? Seems win win to me.

Not a fast way to make money, but I have been making most of my income during past 10 years in an MLM or network marketing company with herbs from the Amazon rainforest. Now I have joined a new one for the first time in 10 years.

An MLM company with an acai drink (Monavie) built a billion dollar business in the last few years using a unique binary profit plan where people help each other. But acai juice is sold in stores. This new, small MLM business that I got in, has the same binary pay plan as Monavie, but has a great new product.

I first saw it being sold in the Tai Chi school near me run by an accupuncturist. Then I saw an ad for it in Yoga Living Magazine. I really wish you could get paid for giving blood, marrow,plasma, sperm, stuff like that in the UK but we have a national health service that has to be free so they cant pay you for donations

I hear ya! In fact, I'm thinking of going back to my ol' "Money Matters" site where I helped people get out of debt and save/invest for their future. I basically promoted educational products from other people, but ONLY if I had purchased them and reviewed them for myself first. I wrote articles, blogged, and published a monthly newsletter.

In today's dismal economic times, I can't think of anything more valuable than showing people the way to get out of debt (or avoid it in the first place).

The funny thing is -- it's SO simple. Stop spending more money than you make. And set aside (at least) 10% for yourself before you pay the bills. That certainly doesn't require an entire website to teach. But as I've always said... It's common sense, not common knowledge.

Great to hear that. You should go into deeper detail however. Like why/how do we get ourselves into debt in the first place? Understanding the mechanism that gets us there is important if one hope to get himself out. How to break bad habits. The advantages of being out of debt. Motivational speeches or writings to help people, etc. I think the idea has tons of potential to be honest. Break a leg!
