I spend most of my working hours at a desk, and I hate both chairs at both offices. What experience have you had with office chairs? Is it worth spending the big bucks?....... Which do you recommend?

At the last office I worked at people had big balls that they sat on. I really wanted one but never got around to ordering one. At home I sit at the kitchen table. It sucks because somehow it makes my back hurt. I like it better when I sit on the couch. At another company I worked for one woman stood at her desk. She had a special extra high desk for her computer and could stand and work. |

Wow those are some really innovative ideas. I actually like the idea of a ball. I can't sit on the couch because my work requires heavy computing power, and a laptop isn't an option. Some of our nations hardest workers and greatest thinkers, including Ben Franklin, and Thomas Edison both had standing podiums they worked at. I think Albert Einstein did this as well. Does anyone have a certain type or brand of chair they recommend?

you are more likely to get a comfortable chair if you spend the big bucks but it is far from guarenteed. really all you can do is get a chair with everything adjustable and go to as many shops and sit on as many chairs as you can. Personally I have a high back exec chair that tilts back, i love the tilt back. |
