I have this domain name twooba.com which I think is a really good domain name. I would like to sell this domain name, but I don't really know how to do this. I have found some domain name marketplaces on the internet but they all claim to be the best. So... Does anybody here has any experience in the selling of domain names? Where is the best audience? |

I think a lot of people think they have the best domain names. I was interested in it all a while back, but too involved for me. DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars is probably the biggest domain forum and selling marketplace, but I don't like the atmosphere. I liked NamePros.Com - Buy, Sell, & Discuss Domain Names as that was free to sign up and you can get feedback from expert domainers. Sedo used to the biggest for just selling your domains, but I haven't really looked into it for a year, just got sick of it. Last edited by ellie; 10-15-2008 at 03:30 AM. |

I have about a dozen single-word top level domain names (.me extension) I'm looking to flip in the future. I've posted them on Sedo.com and also ImpressiveDomains.com but have yet to have any offers. I'm also not really trying because I haven't the first clue about how to sell websites or domain names. I might just build up the websites and try to flip them instead. I figure if I can show value and a business model, somebody else might be interested in taking the projects over... |

I've had that same thought, but by the time they get traffic, why would you want to sell them?

If I build a profitable site that required no maintenance, then I probably wouldn't sell it... even if that profit was only $10 / month since it's autopilot profit that I could increase at anytime. My original plan was to buy a few great one-word .me domains and flip them. I figure if even one of them was a big hit, it would be worth the initial investment.
