Midlife crisis, bored I don't know but I am losing interest in my health and fitness blog. Knowing myself I know it might be a bad idea to just quit. Sometimes it is only a phase and I am back to wanting to blog about health and fitness. My idea is to try my best to put something together and post once a week. If motivation or inspration comes I will post more. I feel the last thing I want to do is close or let my blog go inactive till I get a spark to work on it. On a personal note I am regaining interest in the arts so I want to get back into that part of my life again. P.S. I am still going on with the blog carnival the end of this month. So bloggers who submitted articles it is still going on. I will keep upwith future blog carnivals too. Thanks for your time. |

I think Maki at Dosh Dosh posts only twice a month. It certainly is not blogicide. But make sure if you post less frequently that your posts are "pillar" posts. Make them at least 1,000 word articles that are stuffed with solid info.

Personally, I would rather subscribe to a blog that posts 1 quality article per week vs. one that posts 7 days of marginal stuff. I've been through a couple of slumps in my blogging, and while it hurt my visiting traffic, it didn't really dent my RSS subscriptions. To me this suggests that it's okay to post less frequently unless you depend of Adsense revenues, or similar programs where you are paid by impression. |

why not use your blog to blog about your loss of interest in fitness blogging and explore the whys and hows of this shift in your focus. Gradually move it away from fitness and into whatever is currently your passion. You could also blog about how this is affecting your own fitness levels if you are also losing interest in fitness in general.
