Recently, I came to know that submitting your article to directories is a good way of building backlinks. So, I submitted one of my blog posts to ezine and it got approved after a few days. Cool thing was, it automatically showed up on my twitter upon approval! If u're interested, here's the link : Anti-Procrastination Strategy #1 - Take Charge of Your Attention! (original blog post is here). For you guys who're more experienced in SEO, do you frequently submit articles to such directories? Any tips to share? |

Hi there, I was once an addict in article directory submissions from my blogspot blogs, and even became an "expert" in Ezine Articles. Of course, there was an effect somehow but not very low than I expected. Maybe my articles were not well-written enough, I really do not know. But one thing I learned, NEVER submit the same articles from your blog. This will make the original post suffer, as SE will prioritize the ones posted on top directories. SE hates duplicate content. I checked your post at EA and I think it is good. However, I strongly suggest that you improve your resource box. You can include something about you that can attract visitors to your blog. I also suggest that you do not put too much focus in link buliding. This maybe good for PR, but remember that this cannot be converted to traffic directly. The key is to get human visitors to your blog, and how make your regular followers. Hope that helps.

I missed this one. Good advice on the duplicate content part - didn't think of that. You're right on that - the main objective is to get human visitors to my site. I really appreciate the fact that you took the effort to read my article and analyze the good and bad points that I've overlooked. Thanks! | |
