I am new to this and the whole "making money via blog" thing- and have spent the entire day researching ways to create my blog into one massive site that people go to for some entertainment. I am considering a proper domain site under my name but want to know from all your personal experience & knowledge, what my best options and ways about this will be??! I generate a lot of traffic to live journal all help greatly appreciated. Adriana |

If you've got a good following on LJ then you might want to try branching out on your own. I'd suggest to migrate to wordpress. Here's an older article (from '05) that is still relevant on how to migrate from LiveJournal to Wordpress. You'll definitely want to not use your name since its so long and is not catchy on its own. Honestly I don't know how the make money online thing will work for personal interest blog. Sure you might do advertising like LJ is doing on your blog and collecting the money but I don't think you'll be raking in the dough without a very clear specific take on something. From a brief viewing of your blog I see its about your daily life and a lot of the word "I". It's not an easy read for a blog and more like a stream of consciousness --which is what most LJ blogs are great for but that doesn't make for a lot of value for others. How to get around this? If you were to frame your new blog around a topic or a way to express your purpose in life, then you've got something that can build an audience, provide value and then some income. The site I referred to above is a LJ turned WP personal interest blog but there's no revenue coming to the site and no advertising. Give some thought to what you want to write about that will add value to other people's lives and go from there.
