Blogging Is NOT The Best Way To Make Money Online!

Hi Guys,

I see many people here are wanting to make money online as a blogger. This certainly is a way to make money, however, it is definitely not the best.

I do a lot of internet marketing and know many internet marketers and very few of them make a full-time living online just by blogging. The vast majority of them do it by creating their own products, becoming affiliates for other people or selling on eBay etc.

If anyone wants to build up an online income quickly I strongly suggest you don't go the blogging route and do some of the things I recommend above.

The things you suggest sound boring. It is better to do something you love to do and try to make some money from that instead of only trying to make money. You get more motivation and energy when you do something you actually enjoy. I would lose motivation quite fast if i tried to sell toothpaste or something on eBay.

As with all writing / art, you need to distinguish between people with talent and those without. The problem with blogging from a business perspective is that you need to be talented, not just normal or even good. Anyone can blog but few can make serious money from it.

Compare that to selling stuff on eBay...well, just about anyone can do that.

That doesn't always have to be the case. One of the most popular swedish blogs in Sweden used to be a blog with posts like "Today i got a slight headache. My kids are screaming. I might eat a sandwhich". I didn't find that talented or interesting in any way.

Why can't you create a digital or even physical product related to something you love? Why can't you sell something you're interested in on ebay? Why can't you find a product you believe in and like and become an affiliate to promote it?

Actually it is a Talent. It seems obvious and straight forward.
But not everyone is patient enough to write a blog about a headache or screaming kids.
I find it kind of innovative because this blog would cater to that patient 'stay at home' house man or house wife.
Not many people have the patience, I for one do not.

I think the idea here in blogging is figuring out an audience and picking a style to suit that audience. It helps if you are the first to figure out that audience.
At the moment it uis getting quite crowded in the blogging business, too many people trying to do it the same way.

I didn't find that talented or interesting in any way.

It either talent (and talent can mean creating an emotional link with the reader) or pure luck.
Both don't allow the person who has neither talent nor luck to succeed.
