Will there one day one place to shop for all material things? For example, if you are looking for a pair of shoes right now, there is a million different places you can look for one specific pair, both in the physical, and virtual realms. Is there a better way to organize the marketplace? when as a body, people are less focused on material goods, and attaching emotion and meaning to them, (including the very process of shopping) and move into the spiritual realm, we can save a lot of time, space, energy, and resources by centralizing industries. (one store for all products and material things?) == ((and in the future future, we wont even need the store at all as we can create the product out of thin air with one of those virtual creators.)) |

That basically super walmart. It walmart mission to be a store that sells everything. On the other hand you get some disadvantages with the walmart model.

haha yes, amazon, but even on there, there are about 10 different stores that carry the exact same thing. when 'profits' do not drive commerce, but rather providing service and energy exchange, perhaps it will be easier to organize and centralize things. |

Hummm, why should centralization be an improvement? In a fairly direct way, that approach has already been tried: socialism/communism. Given a choice between centralized economic control and free (or more free, there are always degrees) markets, people around the world have strongly chosen markets. Also, profit is not the sole motivator of people who engage in business and commerce. At any open market, for instance, I see lots of artisans who express their values, creativity and sometimes spirituality through what they create and sell, whether jewelry, food, music, or visual art.
