Default Changing the font in adsense ads

I recently found this satire site, stuffwhitepeoplelike.com, and while browsing around I came across this one post with an adsense ad at the bottom but instead of the usual adsense look it is a lot more blended with the look of the site and I think it's because the font has been changed.

I actually didn't even notice it was an ad at first and clicked on it, which naturally made me want to do it on my site too

So has anyone done this, or can anyone comment on how effective it is?

It's something of a contentious issue from what I can see. Some people swear that if you blend it in and not make it look like an ad, it will be more successful. Others say that if it cannot easily be seen, then it won't get clicked. Others reckon that if it looks like an ad, it'll be avoided deliberately.

Me? I make the link bits (lines 1 & 3) blue. That draws the impatient clickers into thinking it's a link to take them off the current page.

I guess it depends on the site.

There is only one way to understand if it is effective - test it.
