Hi everyone. My new website/blog is up and I'm looking for comments and criticism: Pimp Your Grades It is a site for the average college and high school student who wants to improve their grades. I think you could call it a "life hack" type site. What do you think about the layout? And the content too? Any ideas for improvement? |

Hi schola, I like your site. Very cool concept. Here are a few things I would change/add. Minor: -I really like the logo. IMO - the gradient in the "PIMP" and "GRADES" part of your logo has a little too much white for me. I like the way the "YOUR" looks. -In your sidebar, I'd move Search to the top, get rid of Pages (unless you're planning to add more pages than simply Home, Contact, and About). I'd add the Recent Posts widget below Search. Important: -If you don't already have it, get the All-in-one SEO plugin. Your title tag for your homepage is just "Pimp Your Grades". You need to add your target phrase here. After doing some quick keyword research I would think you would want "how to get good grades". I would make my title How to Get Good Grades | Pimp Your Grades dot Com. -You need a tag line or About section at the top to tell first time visitors what you're all about. You could say something like "Good grades made easy". -You need a section to ask visitors to subscribe to your RSS feed. The little orange button on the right is not enough. As far as content, I would suggest looking at your competition studenthacks.org for ideas. They seem to have some really good articles. Eventually, you could generate some buzz by having a cool video or podcast themed like the original show Pimp My Ride. Good luck with the new venture! |

Schola, I will appreciate (and the author also) if you mention this little freeware, or make a review of it. I use it everyday and recommend it to my friends, but I don't own a blog for students hollmen.dk - Home |
