Hi Ines To be honest it's unlikely that anyone is going to disclose their wholesalers as it means more competition in an already ultra-competetive market. It's hard to find a legitimate wholesale out of all the c**p out there. There are some about though. Don't give up, keep looking. Good luck |

You can make some decent extra income by finding and selling niche items on ebay, but it's hardly a dependable source of steady income or business. I used to find classic and rare PC games around here at Half Price Books stores, garage sales, and etc, usually complete in their boxes, buy them for around $5-10 and then sell them for often 3-4x that. I used to make several hundred extra dollars a month that way but couldn't do it steadily since you don't have a steady supply that way. As for working from home, I'm in the same boat you are, and don't think ebay wholesalers would really be the safest way to go any longer (I looked pretty extensively into this as well around 6 months ago- looks like LOTS of scams, and hard to find any dependable choices). If you're up for pooling our brainpower in coming up with a new method of working from home, I'm up for it! I'm about to have to cave in and go back to being an employee for awhile, so would love to find something I can do from home as well, and all I really NEED to live comfortably for now is around $1200 a month (that being said as a necessary income, not as all I aspire to earn! |

Hi mlc82 I agree with you there are loads of scams out there regarding wholesalers. It's tricky finding a legit one. Even if you do the eBay market is so competitive that making a decent profit is very tricky. Also, if you do find a decent wholesaler and check out some of the items they have to offer, you will find that there are already loads of people selling the items on eBay because they are using the same wholesaler. Very difficult to make a good living on eBay these days. |

I think a big thing is going to yard sales and flea markets, armed with a laptop, and a cell phone with internet access. If you see something you think will sell good, research it first, and see if it's selling consistently. If so, buy the item, and resell it. The same could apply to vehicles, or just about anything. (Even though, in Indiana for example, you need to have a dealer's license if you sell over 7 vehicles per year I believe) With all of this said, I think E-Bay needs some good competition however. |

I honestly don't think doing an ebay business is as easy it sounds. Sure you can make a couple of bucks here and there, but to turn it into a business that generates an online income, requires you to be able to source for your supplies really cheaply. Either you have the contacts yourself or someone lets you on to their secret. I don't mean to sound discouraging but there is a lot of hype about how much you can make from an online business. Sure it is possible but many have failed to make it a profitable venture. Evelyn |

I apologize in advance if anyone finds it inappropriate to advertise my services but I think I can be of service anyone looking to break into on-line sales. I live in Vietnam and run a small electronics accessories business. Every month I travel to China and import these goods in large quantities. At present I do not sell to anyone in the West as I really am a small trader and really don't know who or how to apporach the right people. I am interested in starting to grow my business with others who are also just starting out. If you have any questions about products you can find here in Vietnam or in China, please ask away. I am happy to offer my experiences. Good luck |

To me, Ebay is an example of a good, basic, homegrown idea that works great until it becomes so successful that they get bought out, go public, put a fancy CEO in charge at $800 million per year, focus on serving WallStreet instead of customers, and sell out the founding principles for the sake of pleasing shareholders. The way I see it, not only is the market for Ebay sellers virtually saturated, but the Ebay fees & Paypal fees keep rising & rising, devious/unethical practices by the 'professional sellers' have become the norm, fraudulent activity by sellers AND buyers is higher than ever, and the feedback system has become ineffective and misleading. I used to buy almost everything except groceries on Ebay, but now I only use it as a last resort for something I can't find elsewhere. |

Ebay jacking up their selling fees higher and higher is why I stopped selling games there. What from I've heard lately, they've really stomped on the smaller sellers lately.

If you're looking for legit wholesaler, try worldwidebrands.com It cost $300 for membership but it's top - notched. I have personally used it. And if it doesn't work out for you, you can get a refund. I think it's 60 days refund period. |

There are many whole sellers out there. You just can't look on eBay or the internet for them. Contact the manufacture directly in most cases. If you make a career out of eBay / PayPal don't be surprised to find you self up sh** creek with out a paddle because of some new policy, site change or transaction gone bad. |

Factories tend to be the least impressive of all the people along the supply chain. Factories tend to have dusty showrooms with out of date products on the shelves and their listed prices for goods are not competitive. This is because they do most of their volume with either the license holder of the products or because they have independent agents who support them with very large but consistent supply payments. This is my personal experience. Middleman for the vast majority of people here are much easier to deal with and often times will give you better prices. Of course they will quote you high prices upfront. You can't expect them to give away the product without a struggle at the beginning, it's their only defense against losing market share. Well, you may have a different experience, but I have been through the song and dance many times with the impression that factories are the most direct and cheapest way to get new products but in the end, never once have I bought from a factory. Good luck, Marc

lol, mezameo. I believe you misinterpreted what I meant by manufacture. I mean the company, not the factory the product was made at. If you want to sell flat screen Sony's contact Sony. You want to sell Canon cameras? contact Canon or their licensed wholesaler. You'll have to buy a decent amount to even deal with these companies which will be a significant investment, but if you want to sell that product and stay competitive that is what you need to do. If you find a "drop-shipper" / "wholesaler" on the internet a million others easily can too.

Ebay Store is best source of selling your items/product. If you want to create your own ebay store then there is different method to sell. Or, if you want to sell the Ebay items through affiliate program then there is different methods. Ebay Store is better than Ebay Affiliate program. Try Ebay Myworld to sell the products. |
