Unhappy starting on wall street

I was offered a job in wall st, but I left it after the 2nd day, the thing is that I was supposed to be in a probation time that could be up to 30 days, working as a regular, from 7:30 in the morning to 8 or more in the night, I felt frustrated cause I wasnt receiving any payment not even to cover my food or my transportation and the so called boss was always complaining about my accent, I am hispano living 7 years here with a pronounced accent, besides my job was of just making calls (I was supposed to make about 1000 calls a day at a rithm of 70 calls by hour) and then passing up to somebody else when the person picks up the phone, i gave up when i saw that a person that was actualy was in probation just a couple of hours was given a larger script of me, I just couldnt see myself working 12, 13, 15 hours by day making no money for the next month, my question is... is that the regular way people start working on wall st or was I just tramped by them? please somebody who knows better than me please help me...

I say you made the right move. I can see making some sacrifices for a job, but doing something you completely hate is a bit extreme.
