Hey guys, are there any specific contact management programs out there that you'd suggest? I've been doing a bit of research and am probably going to buy 'ACT!' because it has good reviews and some decent features. I'll leave this one open ended: if you have anything to say about contact management, best practices, and tips & tricks, please leave them here!

Attendance Management System is a good program: Attendance Software It's designed to keep track of members for youth groups, clubs, and similar organizations, but it works well as a personal organizer too. It lets you export your data and print rosters. I hope this helps!

I personally like ACT! I've used it for about 3 years. I like being able to customize fields on different pages -- for example to list contact birthdays or anniversaries, or the names of their kids or their attorneys. I like being able to post follow-ups for many activities and it's nice to look at the calendar daily and see the calls, meetings, follow-ups and all the other work I have listed. I have co-workers that like using the calendar and systems in Outlook, but I love tracking the oddities regarding my contacts. You should hear the shock in their voices when you "remember" where the contact went on vacation last year and bring it up out of the blue. People know you're really paying attention to their lives. You ARE paying attention, but you have a little "helper". ;-) In all honesty, it's best to pick a good system with features you like and stick with it and learn as much as you can about its operation. Good Luck!

I have quite a bit of past experience with CMS's. Can you share a sentence or two about what you're trying to accomplish with it? I realize you want to manage your contacts Thanks! Max
