Hey all, After launching my own blog, The Office Diet, on 1st Jan and doing a guest post (as well as a fair bit of commenting) on Diet Blog, I got asked to become a (paid) staff writer. My first post went up yesterday! So just wanted to encourage anyone out there who's, like me, in the very early stages of trying to make money from blogging or copywriting online: it definitely is possible Good luck, all, Ali

That's truly inspiring Ali, I just started my blog about a week ago. It's nice to hear about others successes. I was wondering what the best way to go about writing guest posts is, can you offer any advice?

Ali, That's great news. I've been earning about $500.00 a month writing for one company's blog (a well known US magazine). It's usually fun. I am currently planning my own blog. When I get the model where I want it, I am going to launch it like a rocket. |

I would either look for blogs which invite guest posts (check their "About" or "Contact" pages), or just drop a short, friendly email to the webmaster of blogs that I enjoy reading, with a brief summary of who I am, and an offer to write a post for them. I also followed this advice from ProBlogger when I wrote my guest post (the one that got me the staffer position...) How to be a Good Guest Blogger (And, when finding that URL, also came across How to Get Guest Blogging Jobs which might be useful for you Best, Ali
