Arrow Job avail on Craigslist. Advice needed!

(Basic Knowledge Required)

We're looking to hire and train someone with basic SEO knowledge who wants to learn more about this industry.

But, we're not just looking for anyone!

We require someone who is eager to learn and passionate about this industry.
You don't have to be an SEO expert but as long as you have the right attitude you're wanted!

Your Role:
1. To handle multiple projects (with our system and guidelines)
2. Be involved in Pay Per Click marketing (training will be arranged but basic knowledge is needed here)
3. To implementing seo strategies alongside seo experts

Required to have knowledge of a few of the following (not all but some)
- knowlege in HTML
- used specific software: dreamweaver, photoshop, seo elite, firefox, ftp software.
- blogging tools: wordpress

You'll be trained to be one of the key seo consultants and we're looking for a long term working relationship with the selected candidate.

I'm dabbling in Affiliate Marketing on the side in addition to a casual position related to the current degree I'm studying.

Success in an entrepreneurial E-business at the moment seems to be the goal that I would like to achieve as it has the potential to provide time flexibility and location flexibility!

My question is, would you go for this job if in my shoes?

Plus, I've got the feeling the whole 'training' thing is just an excuse for making me churn out webpages and possibly search engine ad's for some budding affiliate marketer....which probably is a good experience thing eh?

Oh. What is the minimum per hour wage that you would accept for this 'offer'?

I'm not procrastinating now. Its night, so I'll call this guy tomorrow to enquire further.

Oh, all you successful affiliate marketers out there, are you self taught?(i.e. internet readings taught) and would you have preferred a mentor to show you the ropes? Sounds like rhetoric, but I'd appreciate honest advice thankyou!

I can tell that mostly you'll be creating lots of HTML pages (a.k.a landing pages, to survive the Adwords Quality Score), and lots of PPC ads, keyword research, competitive analysis, link building, etc

At least here in Canada, for this position, you'd be looking at CAD $15 to $16/hour (to start).

The fact that you're dabbling in affiliate marketing will be a big plus, I think. Are you making consistent profits with it? If so, you can try and impress the interviewer with all the aff. marketing jargon.....I guarantee he will be impressed . The best part is....it gives you more room for negotiation!

Good luck

I don't have any experience doing SEO for others, but I'd go with your gut. Sounds like they're going to try to have you grind away. Or you can go to interview too and see what you think from that.

If it matches great, if not, don't waste your time.

$16 per hour for the work described is a wonderful position. I would contact them myself If I wasn't underage and happened to be unemployed.
