| I checked my AdSense today, I got 1 click out of 10 visits and for that 1 click I got $0.01!!! WTF? The past seven days I averaged my earnings and it came out to $0.07 per click. This month's average so far is $0.04, which just sucks! On average I'm expecting $0.20 per click. What are some other ad websites that pay a higher average? And 10 pageviews is not lot and lot of traffic. It is rather the opposite, very little little traffic. You need to figure out how to get traffic.

| I understand higher traffic, but I'm talking about averages here. 1 our of 10 visitors click one of the ads is pretty good, the CTR is 10%. I need more than $0.01 for a click though. I can get more money by walking around town and picking up pennies. I would expect Google to pay at least $0.10 per click minimum. Pretty pathetic for Google. My website is still a baby, I'll get more traffic as it grows. That's a different matter. |

| I think my first click got me 0.01 dollars... then a more recent one netted me a fair bitmore... I'm still a little unsure how it all works. I'm sure if you can be bothered that it will say somewhere on the google adsense help page.

| I was able to sell ads on some of my sites directly to advertisers. It takes more effort to attract and/or find such opportunities but in my experience it pays 10x as much as adsense (with the same traffic) on an ongoing basis. It also requires that your website is highly targeted to some audience (French cars, for example). |

There are many companies that help successful sites to sell direct advertisement. And when the agencies trust in you they will start pumping new campaigns to your site all the time.

| You may want to check into "Pay Per Play" advertising. It will be launched on Feb. 1, 2008 and you get paid each time a visitor comes to your website via the playing of an audio ad. But, in the end, what will get you the most online blog profits is consistent traffic from quality content. Best wishes, Andrew Quote:

| Yes those click rates look a little low. The most likely explanation is they are key words for which the rates are low. Some key words pay better than others. And yes, no one apart from Google can say what those rates are going to be. What you've discovered is that you've got to have a pretty healthy amount of page views to generate a reasonable ad income. I'd have to disagree with one of the other posters - page views are important. If you have your site set up properly page views are more important than number of visitors. The reason being that on each page view an ad can be served so the more page views the greater the chance of an ad click. Of course the higher the number of visitors the more page views, so I'm not saying visitors aren't important - they are! | It depends on the ad. I have ads for loans and student credit and fluorescent lights, and I'm averaging a 13-16% CTR with about $0.40 per click. Its just because of the particular advertisers on my page.

| I want to share this, from my experience and knowledge about adsense. I got one friend who make $3000/month solely from adsense. It pays well only you follow the right way: 1. First and the most important step: Find a market. Go to freekeywords.wordtracker.com and look for a keyword which have above 200 searches every day. 200 searches means 6000 people looking for it every month. If you are aiming a market which have searches, it sure is a very small market (less people visit and less people click). 2. Find a profitable niche of that market. Go to spyfu.com. And seek for the keyword that advertiser are paying a lot. Why is it important? This is the price they are willing to pay for every click on their ads. $0.01 definitely is a low paying keyword. Hardly any advertisers are willing to pay huge amount for that keyword. **By now, you already know which keyword have lots of traffic that can help you get more visits and more clicks. You also know which keyword pay you more. So, you are able to get more clicks and more revenue every click. 3. Use SEO to reach #1 in Google and Yahoo. Only you reach #1, you will get more than 200 visits to your site. This is crucial for adsense business. "Don't argue with me!" my friend say. 4. In your website, just put in articles and put adsense in between to blend it well with text. (People don't like to click ads. Make ads look like hyperlink and text in articles will increase your CTR) 5. Rank for more keywords in your site. Hope this helps! If not, I wasted my time writing. (Joking) |
