The only people who succeed in MLM are the Internet marketing "gurus" because they are on top of the MLM pyramid and they can sell their own products/services to their (huge) downlines. A simple distributor has to work on two fronts: he has to find prospects and he has to compete against hundreds or thousands of other distributors. Needless to say that most people give up after a few weeks/months. |

Hello All LoL Alvin I red the first part and got to know the rest. The sneaky ways of forcing people into the biz. Really sad. I actually work in an I.T company but I always wanted to start my own business so I get some income and pursue my interest in studying philosophy/spirituality and personal development in my own suitable ours with out any control. But I don't have enough money to start it. I heard of MLM and I thought hey why not join and give it ago. I have just joined, and still starting the business. To be honest I can't stand running after people and cornering them to join. I prefer to do advertising. So now am just starting to do offline and online advertising as the company am with offers tools of advertising. So am never going to walk to somebody and tell them to come and join me. I can't stand that. I had people approaching me from other companies but I just turned them off lol Actually you don't have to be a top guru but you have to learn the right knowledge and work hard at the start to be successful in that. I got a friend of mine who didn't know anything about MLM and he started before me with it. He is getting a good income now and living off it. Thanks Ali |

Ali -- I would never suggest that you can't make money in MLM -- you can -- and it is hard work to make a "living" from it. But it can be done. Not all MLM companies are pyramids -- there are many good ones with excellent products. I have built a "reasonable" residual income with my MLM business. My approach is to NEVER attack people about the business side of it. The company I represent has outstanding products that can stand on their own. So, I do like anyone else in business -- I find customers for my products. It's sort of like having a store that sells stuff. When someone buys one of my products, the company pays me a commission. I think I'm like the cable company -- I have lots of customers who order products from me -- and then they reorder them when they run out. That's all I do and I pick up enough each month to make my mortgage payment and my car payment. That works for me. Shanti, Ron |

It's just like most other businesses....there's a gazillion things out there that will work to make money, but 95% don't succeed. It's typically because they either decide it's just not what they want to do or they give up out of frustration and say it doesn't work. Persistence is key no matter what you are doing. Even though I'm not a big fan of MLM, I believe it can work if you pick a quality program and put some real effort into it.

I signed up with AGLOCO, the re-incarnation of AllAdvantage. At first it looked like MLM or pyramid type of business, but in fact it is not. People are crazy about Agloco and they are very busy recruiting people right now. Many bloggers can recruite 1,000 people in 3 or 4 days. For sure, these people are not fools. So, I joined in and even set up a blog to cater for this need. result has been good. More info on this can be found on my signature below. Grab this chance before we are left behind. |
