| A lot is written on this site about finding your passion. Many would like to make a living from their passion. I recently stumbled on this post: CoolPeopleCare | Making Your Passion Your Profession It's a great overview of how you can take your passion and make it a profession. It emphasizes the importance of the time it takes to make this switch.

| True enough - and it can help deal with the pain in the passion... As an analogy, many years ago I had an athletics coach who trained a small squad of about 10 runners. The first year I worked with him I expected the tough winter workouts to payoff with faster times in the summer races. That did happen. But what amazed me to this day is what he shared with us at the start of the following winter's training. He was actually thinking 2 to 3 winters ahead for getting us to what we were individually capable of achieving. You pay it in and then draw it out - with interest. All in all, that made the tougher training (and each winter got harder) understandable and do-able. In amongst the friendship and good times, some of those sessions hurt like h%ll. But I would still do it all over again. |

| It's funny that I knew about the elements of these 4 steps but never saw them as outlined in that article (1 - 2 - 3 - 4). The 4 steps make it a lot easier to picture yourself making your passion your profession. Thanks for sharing! René |
