It seems like a lot of people on this board have their own blog. I was thinking it would be good to have a thread where we mention our blog and explain a bit about it. It could also be a great opportunity for cross-promotion. So post your blog, and try and check out as many other blogs in this thread as you can (if you really don't know what to check, try checking the previous 5 blogs posted). Anyway I'll get it started... My Blog is called "geardos", and I focus on music production, sound recording, and reviews of equipment. Basically my aim is to inform bedroom musicians, podcasters, and casual multimedia producers (as well as "prosumers") on different types of equipment, using an honest review system. It's a bit of a niche but I noticed that when you search for a review of equipment you usually end up just getting merchants who are selling the equipment instead of honest reviews. I also do video reviews which I host on youtube (and embed on my page). My goal isn't to make a lot of money but I intend to one day do professional reviews as a computer journalist. Also, in the short term, getting some adsense revenue would help me with my university costs. So that's Geardos. Check it out. Now post your blog and talk a bit about it, and I'll check it out! Lets see what all the smart people on this board have been creating... |

| Hi Scotty. I just started my blog yesterday so be warned, its still in its infant stages. The link is in my sig. I would like to develop it into a useful resource for younger people to learn about financing and personal growth. I can't believe how many of my friends are launched well into their careers and still remain clueless about financial matters. My blog will chronicle my journey from being in debt, to being fabulously debt-free and investing wisely. Perhaps it will serve as an inspiration for others -- like my lazy friends who I love very much Ohh, and my bf is a musician. I think he'd find your site rather useful. He's always buying new nicknacks for his studio. I'll definitely pass it along to him. Thanks for sharing! Last edited by Cassie; 11-20-2006 at 07:41 PM. |

I have two blogs at the moment. The first is a personal finance/investing blog and the second is focused on programming and poker. I am also working into some blogging communities, with the MyDogLoves vegas site being the first of several that my wife and I have planned.

My blog, .love.laugh.learn.live., has been an experiment over the past few years having content on a variety of things that interest me, primarily in the fields of mind/body/soul exploration. Traffic has been growing lately and I am still refining what I want to focus on as well as improving my writing. I have been wishy washy with it, but, then again, there are at least 150 posts in just a year. Once I've finished my Master's in Management, I am going to focus more on building a passive income stream from writing a blog that is very helpful to people. Let me know you stopped by if you can. Thanks! Many Blessings, Michael |

My blog is the reason why I don't post as much in game development forums as I used to. I figured that it was quite possible that what I had to say wasn't interesting to people, and I was possibly polluting what would be otherwise good conversations. I started my own blog on indie game development almost two years ago, and I found out that I had a following. B-)

Ooooh! I like this thread! My blog is about living the life of a professional singer and everything that goes along with it. It is something I am deeply passionate about, but which also gives me hours of fun. I never run out of stuff to write. Okay ... off to look at your blogs! |

Screw what my blog is about. Check the Snap Preview feature I just put on it. Just hover over any external link and then tada! Actually, it might be slow to put into cache. But once it's in there and you hover over the link again....tada! |

Hi all, My blog is called the Awakening, and it basically tackles self-exploration and focuses on honesty. There's a number of articles on recognizing abuse and dysfunctional behavior patterns in relationships as that is something I have wrestled with for a number of years . However, I'll also be add a number of material focusing on self-improvement some spiritually based and some just practical. I also have some music videos too! Enjoy. I greatly enjoyed everyones blogs. My blog is a lot more lighthearted than all of the personal development blogs i'm seeing. I have created a fun new blog primarily about videogames, but also covering all different forms of entertainment including movies, books, music, gadgets etc. You can visit the blog at No Limits Entertainment Right now, it only introduces the two main people who will be involved in the blog. if you would please bookmark the blog, I would greatly appreciate it, and I think if you have an interest in these subjects you will find a lot of great content soon. I am also looking for some advice regarding wordpress, and the best way to allow two users to post on the same blog whenever they would like. I also welcome feedback of any sort. |

I was a sad depressed guy for years. I dabbled with many other areas of PD, but eventually I got to what I wanted - happiness. I think it comes from emotional mastery, a mix of modern psychology and spirituality. Hence my blog focuses on it the most at the moment - I'm only writing about stuff that has worked for me. Now that I'm happy almost all the time, everything else is falling into place. So that's my blog, I intend it to focus on many areas of growth - confidence, spirituality, metaphysics, dating and social skills, street smarts, martial arts - and I have some articles written in these areas. But right now it's mostly emotional mastery. Personal Development - The teachings of the Urban Monk » Home |

That's a nice blog, Cassie. I can't wait to see updates. The title of your blog sums up parts of my position as well. Your blog looks interesting as well, Scotty... If I weren't tone deaf, I'd definitely use your site to find some much needed insight. As for my blog, it is askTrina.com, and is currently misnamed... Right now, it is a place for me to share some of my deeper thoughts, as well as a couple of my lighter experiences. I don't expect my visitors to agree with me, but I do want them to think the hard questions. Some of my favorite posts are the ones on Evil (Covers the nature of the universe, or at least my interpretation of it), Why (the story behind my life purpose), Peace (How to have peace in your own life), and the upcoming Practice Makes Imperfect (link to come when I finish it). Alternately, you can just click on the link in my signature, and read from there. Edit: Evidently I need to type faster... Two people posted in the time it took me to write a reply. :P |

Hey guys, I'm Jonathan Manor and I write at The Titan Project. I come to you from the grave of Rosie O' Donald's slimfast diet. I'm the author of The Titan Project, a blog about taking short cuts, breaking traditional systems, making complicated things more relateable, and chasing hearts and dreams. I currently talk a lot about my darling love for my girlfriend which is probably annoying to some people. I'm a laid off website content writer who spends most of his time going to rock shows, meeting awesome people, and eating his vegetables. I love blogging, sunsets, and reading all sorts of online literature. Some awesome examples of what I write about are: How casual sex can lead to the love of your life. Learn how to social market by watching Glee Being a loyal "noncheating" boyfriend. How fighting taught me everything about life. Enjoy guys! |

Hey guys, I've had my site and blog up for a little while. I was in Iraq for twelve months and worked in the operating room. Just have my site up and blog with thoughts about some of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. Michael Anthony - Author of Mass Casualties: A Young Medics True Story |

I've been blogging on various subject for quite while from DotNetNuke, to life as an Information Technology director as well as a lot of other things that struck my fancy for a little while. I recently acquired my name as a domain name so I thought I would follow the example of Steve P and write about stuff that I'm passionate about. One is all the inaccurate or incomplete information on the web about internet marketing, so I've started blogging on some of the topics in that area and I think I may continue. I'm not really concerned about earning money off the blog I just want to put out my view on IM and what it can mean. Hopefully I'll be able to help someone else not make the same mistakes I have made in this area. Blog link is in my sig.

| Scotty if you will add some meta tags for description and keywords to your word press template then your adsense ads will b ecome more targeted. I did not see anything but PSA's when I went and I know you have some topics that have publishers in the niche area. Just a FYI.

I'm a newbie as well. For a long time I had been wanting to put some of my spiritual journey and experiences down in writing - maybe even publish a book. Then I stumbled across this whole world of blogging and it seemed like the ideal vehicle. Now I just need to find the time to devote to it (I work full time and have a family to boot). My blog focuses on the religious/spiritual from a "house-holder" perspective. A sort of every-day guy meets Yogananda. Even people that know me on a day-to-day basis don't know everything I'm up to and would be surprised to read my blog. Michael.shearer, I'll be sure to check out your blog. |

My Blog's gone through several stages of reincarnation, where I tore it down, and then decided to bring it back up again. But it's a simple blog on PD, and my life, and more specifically my journey towards becoming a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo, and in life. I must point out that this was something i did not copy from anyone else, as I can see that there are one or two more martial arts related PD blogs. However my blog is beginning to deviate from just TKD related stuff ... just pure PD these days. |

I have a blog for more than a year now called "Parapsychology articles and blog" and it's about... right.. parapsychology, healing, some alternative medicine, ESP (Extra-Sensory perception), ESP tutorials, interviews and all the similar stuff. Maybe a niche but there are many readers. Some content is from the visitors as well. |

Hi all, it's great to see that steve has actually set up a forum, woohoo that's so cool. I got to know his blog incidentally when viewing my friend's blog and find that his articles are very inspiring, and I do find it particularly useful as most youngsters like my friends do not think much for their future or what do they want to do, most of us are like 'take a step at a time and see how thing goes'. I do not think we should wait for something to happen then have a reaction, and I realised that this blog has attracted like-minded people who are keen to improve the quality of their lives. I have just set up a blog to introduce my country, Singapore. Please do take a look and gimme comments to help me improve. I run a fairly successful songwriting blog - successful in that I can't live off it but for now it pays my mortgage at least. That's a start! Songwriting Tips for Songwriters I also run a recording blog - it is newer but is starting to gain some steam. I mostly run it from the perspective of me setting up my first project studio and what I am learning along the way. Home Recording Studio Tips And last month I started a deals website that is solely geared towards musicians and music gear. I Live Music Deals From a blogging standpoint those all keep me pretty busy. I have plans for more, but I need to maximize the effectiveness of these first. Thanks, DM |
