Hello everyone! I'm listening to Steve's podcast regarding "How to Make Money Without a Job" and he talks about developing systems. Rich Dad, Poor Dad stresses developing systems as well. Currently, I'm developing a website that touches my passion about global warming (in my signature) and just started placing Google AdSense to the pages. I also write and submit articles. I think I'm on the right track, but I wonder if there is anything I can do to streamline the process. I want to write more, but find myself doing a lot of admin. tasks (checking and answering emails, submitting site and articles, working on two other sites to generate traffic for my brother and friend). How much time do you write per day, per week vs. admin. tasks. Am I on the right track or should I tweak it? I want to develop a system that will eventually run on autopilot. My friend has been working his EBay store non-stop for four years. If he stops, it stops. I don't mind working hard and testing concepts, but I also want to have time for my family while the business makes me money. I welcome any and all suggestions!!! Thanks!!!

I recently read "Blog Profits Blueprint" (the website is blocked on this forum for some reason) and one thing that the author stressed is that while blogging is an excellent way to earn a full time income, it's still self-employment and it requires daily interaction. I'm not sure how similar your website is to a blog, but you did mention article writing. In order to create a system that runs on autopilot, it has to offer value repeatedly without input from you. There are only a couple of ways I see this working for websites:
The former takes a lot of time, both for creating so many articles and building up your credibility. Web 2.0 sites rely on the latter; user generated content is the perfect scenario: users get to join a growing community and the developers don't really have to do anything except build it. So my suggestion is that, if at all possible, you find some way to incorporate user generated content and make it so this system is completely hands off. A forum is a good start. You could also have something like user written articles, user submitted success stories, etc. |

I would recommand this video to you. If you want to spent less time on email, you should structure your website in a way that doesn't invite that much emails.

Thank you guys for your help!!! Brutha, the video was awesome! It affirmed what I was thinking already and gave me something new to think about. This Sunday, I need to sit with some java and a note pad and really map the process out. I already have a friend I hired to help me with submitting articles. I'm training him tomorrow. But just that one action alone will free my time up dramactically and he'll be much more effective because he only has that one task. Did you get the coaching program? Addict, I downloaded Blueprint and will read it tonight! Thanks!

Hello Addict, I subscribed to BLOG RUSH and my site was rejected. I'm not sure if it I gave them the wrong links or there was something I needed to change on my site. I have a site (in signature) and it automatically creates a blog for me using the content on my site. Or do I have to have a certain about of traffic to qualify? I can resubmit for approval after:confused Nov 10th. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. It looks like a pretty good program. Has your traffic improved since joining? Thanks Addict!!!
