For the past couple of years I've been working alone in my side business. I want to grow but have been in a funk lately. I have achieved the goals I set out two years ago and am having problems getting motivated for my next step. I'm also tired of working online and want to find a new industry. I've come to the conclusion I need to find a business partner. I'm tired of working in a vacuum and need someone to bounce ideas off of and for someone to share victories off of. I've made a few inquiries on partnerup.com and meetup.com but not success. Has anyone sought a b-partner before, if so how did you find one?

I can understand your frustration. I was in a similar situation and had a hard time trying to find the right partner. It's funny that you mention PartnerUp, since that is where I ended up finding my business partner. They used me as kind of a little case study over at Business Pundit. My suggestion would be to have a lot of patience and to do everything that you can think of to network with absolutely anyone and everyone that you know. You never know who might end up being the perfect business partner. |

Andy, Small world, err web, I read Business Pundit and that post inspired me to sign up. Not much is in my area but who knows what will happen.

My new company's web site isn't yet up... We are still in stealth mode while my partner is working on negotiating all of our partner relationships and I am working on building out the site. Hopefully we'll launch an invite-only alpha version of the site within the next 3-4 months. |
