| We're on an international online forum here and I'm sure there are people who know how college/university life is in all different countries of the world, thus I would really appreciate if you could exchange your ideas and opinions on this topic. I'm responsible for the commercial relationships of my universities' main student union [non-profit], especially focusing on making life easier and fun for exchange and international students. My team and I are currently providing for things such as special offers/discount agreements, i.e. providing students with reduced fares for basic things that any student requires (restaurants, happy-hour, hairdresser, printing, stationery, photocopying, internet café, gyms and in future hopefully also taxi service, low-cost airlines [big project, negotiations in progress!] and hostels around the country)... in exchange for clients (the numerous students obviously...), advertisement space on student magazines and on student-run events like theme parties and conferences. While we are brainstorming and look for all possible partnership opportunities all the time, I'd like to ask you what else could be done to make student life easier and entertaining from a commercial point of view. Which other firms/businesses would profit from students as clients? And what else would students need? I would also appreciate your own experience with student unions and/or fraternities/sororities [I'm not from USA]) but, in general, any new ideas Thanks a lot in advance!

| Hey DeathStorm, I'm not a college student, so all advice is at your own risk Students and citizens of European countries seem to take travel(throughout various countries) as commonplace. Speaking only for Americans, not nearly as many make trips through various other countries. So if they do go abroad want to experience as much as possible. Your examples seem to do a good job of covering what most people would need when they are living abroad for a semester. -OJ |

| There is a shop in Berlin that gives you 20% off for office supplies when you are a student.
