| I want to build a fashion website that will recommend the best types of shoes for men, I have been looking for shoe store affiliates, should I join only one of these affiliates or would it be ok to join several at once? My only concern is that I have heard that some affiliates don't pay you until you have reached a certain amount each month, and if I joined several then I might only have a minimal conversion rate for that particular affiliate. But on the other hand if I only joined one affiliate I will only have a limited amount of products to promote and the content may suffer. I just basically want this site to be like an online shop that shows the best shoes to wear. Thanks Anyone |

| Hello Sean83, I have joined over 100 affiliate programs and am working on getting a check cut. From my point of view it would not be detrimental for you to join as many affiliate programs that are relational to your site. In fact it is good for you because you are dealing with one area and your visitors would expect you to have other selling options. As an option you will want to check out LinkShare | Affiliate Marketing, Search Marketing, ROI Tracking. Global E-commerce Solutions. and join the programs that you think would be relational to fashion. You may even want to include women's shoes and perfumes as an option. You will want to have as many options with affiliate marketing as you can so that you can generate a higher payout. I have yet to get any income from it. I get visitors but they are just passing through. You will also want to read Steve's article on making an income from blogging. It is relational to affiliate marketing with the statistics as to the percentage of people who generate revenue from the internet. Also affiliate marketing takes work and you will have to get creative as to how to get the visitors to your site and getting them to sign up through your affiliates. Now linkshare has just changed their program payout to once a week and if you make $1.00 they will send it to you. Their previous program was twice a week and you had to accumulate anywhere between $25-$50 before they would send you a check. That's it for now if I get any other pressing information I will share.
