I have a weight loss clinic, and also a forum. I'll email you for a copy of your brochure and take a look at it.

Are you going to be marketing it through Clickbank? If so, let me know and I might be interested in advertising it on our forum.

Hi Axiom, I'll be happy to give my input..

How about in the form of a question;
"Can't lose those extra pounds?"
"Want to lose weight the easy and safe way?"

A statement;
"Get the figure you want in 90 days or less"
"Expert Weight loss Plan that's way more cheaper than Jenny Craig!"
"Lose weight, sculpt your figure, and feel great in 90 days or less"
"Let us show you how to shed all those unwanted pounds in 90 days or less guaranteed"
These are a few samples, hope you like them, if not, let me know and I'll post a few more for you....

Appreciate the input - not sure about Clickbank, have never looked at it!

I got 1,000 flyers printed up with 'What's stopping you from losing 10 pounds this month?' - And I've got about 13 calls so far in the last day (Put out about 340 the other day). So I think I'm on the right track!

Any type of online advertising would be a nice addition though, very unfamiliar with how to get a Weight Loss E-Book out and known!

My suggestion is email advertising, and to do that you start an email based newsletter first. You can write and send informative articles, tips, advice about the subject each week or month. Let your subscribers get to know you a bit, then write a one page stand alone ad promoting your ebook.

This is how many marketers get lots of orders for their products.

I think using Clickbank is a great way to get your book out on the internet. You will need an account, which costs about $50 for publishers. Then you can list your product and internet marketers can pick it up and promote it for you, making a percentage on each sale. You want to be generous in the percentage you offer to make it worth their while. This can generate passive income for you.

Of course you can promote it too (and it sounds like you got a nice return on your advertising). This can take effort and/or money though.

If you need more details let me know. I didn't want to ramble on and on if you're going a different direction.

Default Craigslist

Post on Craigslist. If you do not have the time to do so effectively use elance and hire someone to do the posting for you. If you have success it will pay for itself quickly.

I suggest making your slogan something that addresses the real problem with weight loss: that so few people can keep the weight off over the long term! Maybe something like:

1) Be Different: Lose Weight and Actually Keep it Off!
2) A Unique Approach to Sustainable Weight Loss
3) Be Unique: Lose Weight and Sustain Results!

Anyway, I hope this helps. I am a marketing consultant and have come up with a bunch of successful slogans (albeit not in weight loss), but the key is to differentiate yourself, and make it memorable...wish you the best of luck!

Will let you know how things are going! So far I've got about 17 people involved from 600 flyers.

Default A tip

A big turnoff for me in your flier is that at least one thing is not accurate. Weight Watchers does not cost $102.05 a week... I have been going for years and it costs me $8 week. I know it varies by location but not by that much. And my start up fee was $30. Again, I know this varies by location, but come on.
I would automatically discount your brochure and think it a scam simply by seeing this inaccuracy. If you want to build a solid reputation, make sure you have your facts straight.

From what I was told from my source, this is the total cost of food for the week, not just for your participation in the program - the title of that column is 'Weekly menu cost'. - Edit: Here it says program cost, but I changed the title to menu cost shortly after.

FYI With weight watchers, you eat what you buy at the grocery store. There is no food that is purchased from weight watchers (they do sell weight watcher brand items in stores but they are not a necessary part of the program, just a convenience thing). I do weight watchers and feed a family of 5 for between $300 and 400 a month. So still, the figure is inaccurate, but I do think its better that you changed your flier to reflect that it does include the cost of food.
Good luck with your business!
