So how can I improve my writing skills? The way an article is written from start to finish including brainstorming, putting your idea into words, making the article/blog post cohesive that it flows easily. I am not really experienced in writing. I can write/spell well but how do I go about improving, getting critiques etc? And is there a different way to write for the web? sorry for so many questions thanks |

I would suggest that you study the masters... you could start with Steve's blogs... and Scott H Young... . |

Rereading what you have written last week on a consistend basis and think about what you could have done better. Another way is getting feedback from other people. For that reason I have included a sentence in my profile that feedback is always welcome. Maybe we could also organise a group where everyone writes a article every X weeks on a given topic and everyone else in the group has to give feeback to everyone. |

Writing a blog article is a unique form of writing. My 2 suggestions are: 1) Read/ study great writing. Leo from Zen Habits is great. Also Copyblogger has helped me a lot. 2) Practice practice practice. You WILL get better as you continue to write. Try different styles and formats for articles. You will soon notice which are most popular with readers. Personally, I know there is a HUGE difference in the quality of my articles from when I started the blog (4 months ago) to now. |

I'm not a good writer either but I've read it several times that continuous blogging (continuous writing) will enhance your writing skills. Reading and more readings will help you put valuable content on your whatever you're writing about.
