I think it is very important to be operating in an optimal environment for whatever activity you are doing - but consider this:

Instead of always trying to 'create' these environments, see if there aren't already some out there for what you are trying to do. That is, to go to environments that are conducive to certain activities.

You want some peace and quiet so you can do some writing? Try your local library?

Want to get in shape? Forget the home gym, go to a real gym.

These are just a couple of examples - you know the elements that you need in your life. Also, taking some activities out of the house should help you keep it clean. If you don't get it messy in the first place you wouldn't have to clean it up
