Good post. Giving thanks is essential even when you get something else. Be always thankful and positive mindset. Keep in mind thou, LoA leaves out a great deal from the original, ancient, hermetic thought process but that is a common malady of all "old-wine-new-bottle" spiritual movements/new-found gurus.
Conversation with God also has the same problem I outlined above with LoA, you are far better reading the ancient texts, or at least go back to 19th century authors who better researched and communicated these ideas.
Here is a
great reading list for this; it actually includes certain contemporary authors but none of the
pop-spiritual stuff this boards so loves. Reading these books is not easy nor trivial.
