I really want to take my life to a new level where anything is possible. |
Dear Rob,
Firstly, ask yourself these same questions. Try to meditate an answer. This way, these questions become even more personal and they will embed themselves into your thinking system (both consciously and sub-consciously).
At a smaller scale, do the things that you don't usually do. Read a magazine that you don't know anything about (Carpenter Monthly anyone?), speak to a person who does things that you don't really understand (The Plumber?), do anything that will increase your understanding and make it more diverse.
Have one impossible-looking goal and give it a year For example, starting January 1st, 2007 my personal impossible-looking goal for the year is to travel somewhere out of the country. Now if you look at me now, 21-year old freshly graduated and with an income of about $3.7 K a year, it sounds impossible. But I'm willing to give it an honest shot. What is your Mission: Impossible for the year? Buy a house? Fall in love with an angel? Increase your income ten-fold? Think big (The Great Wall of China!).
Experiment! If you're right-handed, try doing things with majorly with your left-hand for a week, a month or so. This will give you a new perspective and free up your mind. Do anything that will free up your mind from the restricted usual. Talk with an accent, better yet learn a new language, walk backwards a few minutes everyday, try ballroom dancing, change your diet: try raw-foodism for a month. The bottom line is experiment more! Discover more things about your self, your beliefs, your capabilities that you otherwise wouldn't know of.
Have Fun! This is the secret of the gods! Have fun in whatever you do. Be cheerful, sometimes things don't go as planned, but keep working on them and keep living in their vision. It is better to be blinded by our dreams than be staring in excellent vision at a brick wall.
Hope I was of some help. All the best!
