This is a real interesting topic, let me add my 2c--

Once you've been around awhile (that'd be 53 years for me), it seems time goes rocket fast. Why? Who knows, but most of us in this age group seem to agree on this notion.

I remember when the 3 months of summer vacation from school (that is, elementary school especially, junior high pretty much and high school probably_---but I remember elementary school especially. That 3 months was an eternity in heaven, no kidding! Anybody remember that?

Now it's oh so typical to talk abt something as if it just happened yesterday and it was actually maybe 5 years ago.

This doesn't seem to get in the way at all, for me it's mostly a bit of humor.

And at the same time, if I'm doing something that I'm real involved with, time is a separate issue altogether, it doesn't go fast or slow, it simply doesn't matter at the time.

I agree with your idea about making time go longer if you only have a little while to sleep. And I do think that we can make time go slower just by paying more attention, don't you?

All best
