It makes me think of devout Christians who've said "God, I give my life to you". And in a similar way, I might say "I give my life in service to others and to the fulfillment of my purpose". There's nothing else worth living for. Everything else is a circular distraction.

It's the same thing. Your purpose is your "calling". You give your life to It. It's Spirit calling you to step into your purpose, God. The God of your being. It's okay to turn your life over to it.
