That line of reasoning is twisted to justify too much inactivity.
Accepting things as they are for what they are is not the same as resigning yourself to doing nothing to alter it.
A desire to change the world is not the same as saying there is something fundamentally wrong with it, it is the stirring of a core urge to imprint one's will upon creation-something which all of us are inspired to do to some degree as divine beings.
