I could see it being helpful to temporarily ban anyone who regularly posts more than 10-20 times a day, both to wake them back up to the world around them and to keep any one person from flooding the forums. Hopefully people at least receive a warning and an opportunity to correct whatever they're doing.
I imagine that if mods created a poll to see how many people wanted to keep someone like Shamou on, most would offer him their support. Still, if he's anything close to how he described himself, his time may be better spent elsewhere anyhow, starting a new business or cruising with his wife in a corvette
