If there's something you have a natural gift for, and you've had thousands of hours practice, THEN you take a course in it, you've got a huge advantage.
It's impossible to say what percentage was "Power," but it's really hard to argue that the other stuff didn't play a huge role.
So, is the lesson here that you should identify your strengths and your habitual thought and behaviour patterns, and find a course or profession that fits these well, then get a load of practice in even before you start, and after you start, use your power?
I don't think it has to do with predisposition or power. I think it centers more on motivation and inspiration. If you are driven and motivated to accomplish these tasks, you'll find a way to do them.
Btw, as an update, I'm currently through 7 of the 10 courses I have to take this summer. 6 A's and 1 B so far. I'm going to finish the last three over the course of the next two weeks. Most insane summer of my life. Lol
