I'm using Outlook. I've found this solution on the Net. Google GTD+Outlook for details.
It involves a trick, that makes Outlook contacts to pose as projects and tasks as GTD next actions.
I've digitized my paper archive with a scanner and a photo camera. All my GTD system lives in a separate Outlook file, that i carry around on a memory card.
I also use PDA, to capture tasks and ideas, while on the go, but this is not essential, there are a lot of solutions that allow you to do that, you can send SMS, leave yourself a voicemail, write down things and then make a photo of it, etc.
Usually GTDers despise Outlook, but it does the job for me.
I've experimented with Gmail, and other services, but since I have several hundreds of projects and tasks, it is pretty hard for me to switch the systems. So I stay with Outlook for now.
